Turkish Airlines resumes flights to Aleppo after several years of absence

Since last Friday, Turkish Airlines has been offering flights between Istanbul and Aleppo. The route has thus reopened after thirteen years when the Turkish airline suspended its services to the Syrian destination due to the outbreak of a civil war.

The national airline will offer three weekly flights on this route, with scheduled departures every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday.

According to Abdulkadir Uraloglu, who announced the return of this service in the latest press release published by Turkish Airlines, “The national carrier will increase to five weekly flights on this route starting August 15, and then one daily flight starting in early September.”

Tickets for this flight are priced from $299 and are available for booking at Turkishairlines.com.

Air connections between Turkey and Syria are further strengthened with the planned launch today of Ajet’s flight between Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Aleppo International Airport.

Not forgetting to mention that Turkish Airlines also resumed its services to Dammas, the capital of Syria, last February.
