Transfer miles from one Miles&Smiles account to another

For any passenger wishing to transfer miles for the benefit of a loyalty program member? If yes, please enter the name and email address of the person who will receive your miles. Then click Submit to make this request.

The Transfer miles section appeared in the Miles&Smiles member account. Here you need to enter the participant number, after which his name and the first letter of the surname will be displayed. In the drop-down list you can select the number of miles to transfer, for example, 500, 1000, 2000, … Then you have to choose how you want to pay for the transfer: in miles or in cash.

Transferring miles: Can they be sold?

It is not permitted to use your miles for commercial purposes, including the sale of miles to third parties. Turkish Airlines reserves the right to void earned miles, freeze member’s account for any period, cancel account, cancel member’s elite level from the program and recipient, without reimbursement of expenses and amounts.

What is the cost of transferring Smiles points?

To transfer miles, you must pay 10 USD (its equivalent in the local currency TRY) for each thousand miles transferred (1000 miles).

The transferred miles must not be used by the recipient to upgrade to a higher status in the Turkish Airlines loyalty program.

Where to transfer miles?

Miles can only be transferred through the Turkish Airlines website and mobile app. The transfer of miles is done exclusively on the Turkish Airlines website or its mobile application, but it will take one or two working days for your account to be updated with the new number of miles.

To transfer Miles to another person, you will need to provide the following information: full name, date of birth, gender, passport number and country code (if applicable) of the recipient; an email address where we can contact you if there is a problem with the transfer process; and your Miles&Smiles number.

Turkish Airlines will send you a confirmation message with all transfer details to this email address. If you don’t receive it, please check your spam folder in case it was sent there by mistake.

No Smiles transfer limit

You can transfer as many miles as you want, whenever you want. You can transfer Miles yourself from the website, but you will not get any credit for this. You must be logged into your account to do this.

The number of transfers you can make in a day is unlimited. This means that if you want to transfer more than 20,000 miles from your account, you will only have to pay a fee of 200 USD.

Transfers can only take place between members enrolled in the Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles program. Members must also be current with all applicable taxes, fees and charges associated with their account.

Transfers are subject to change without notice. Any changes to the terms and conditions governing transfers will apply to all pending transfers.
