Ajet flies daily to Damascus
Ajet, a subsidiary of Turksh Airlines, has begun flights to Damascus, Syria, replacing its parent company on this international route.
The Turkish carrier now operates daily flights to the Syrian capital’s international airport from two major Turkish airports: Ankara-Esenboğa and Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen, with three flights from each.
The Turkish airline’s return to this famous route after a 13-year absence is a result of the end of the Syrian civil war, which began in 2011 and officially ended with the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime last December.
According to Kerem Sarp, CEO of Ajet “This new route not only improves the travel options available to our customers but also represents access to an enchanting place.”
By opening a flight to Damascus, Ajet brings to 60 the number of destinations covered by its network, spread across 35 countries.
