Turkish Airlines strengthens its Istanbul – Sharm el-Sheikh connection

Turkish Airlines is stepping up efforts to expand its network in Egypt, with a particular focus on the popular destination of Sharm el-Sheikh. Currently in advanced talks with airport officials in this coastal city, the airline aims to increase the frequency of its flights from Istanbul. The aim is to add one more flight per week, bringing the total to four weekly flights to the Egyptian seaside city’s international airport.

Turkish Airlines does not intend to stop there

The Turkish carrier also plans to expand its offering in Egypt by introducing connections to other locations popular with tourists, such as Al-Alamein, Luxor and Aswan.

The addition of these destinations illustrates Turkish Airlines’ strategy to occupy a central position in bringing travelers to Egypt’s major attractions, thereby facilitating access to the country’s historic treasures and alluring beaches for an audience wider international.
