Turkish Airlines will reintroduce Economy Premium class in 2028

Turkish Airlines has announced good news for travelers who want to fly in comfort at a low price.

The Turkish national carrier has decided to reintroduce its Premium Economy class, which it suspended 12 years ago. This cabin, previously known as “Economy Comfort,” will be available on all of the national airline’s international routes starting in 2028.

The Oneworld airline will soon unveil the new Premium Economy cabin configuration, initially integrating it into its A350-1000s, which are typically deployed on long-haul flights.

What will really change?

For about 100 Turkish lira more than an economy class ticket, passengers can travel in wider seats with more legroom.

The seats will likely feature screens built into the seatbacks with USB and USB-C charging ports.

As a reminder, the former Comfort Class offered by Turkish Airlines on its Boeing 777s had 46 seats in a 2-3-2 configuration, while the expected new cabin is projected to replace only 8% to 9% of the standard economy class seats on its A350s, representing 25 to 28 seats.

Note: The exact specifications of Turkish Airlines’ new Premium Economy class have not yet been officially revealed.
