Turkish Airlines and Oman Air are taking their partnership to a new level.
Bound by a codeshare agreement since August 2015, the two airlines announced that they have strengthened their partnership by linking their loyalty programs.
The new agreement involves the merger of their Miles&Smiles and Sindbad loyalty programs to offer their customers more attractive benefits.
Ahmet Olmuştur, Chief Commercial Officer of Turkish Airlines, said: “Turkish Airlines’ Miles&Smiles and Oman Air’s Sindbad loyalty programs have been merged into one. This is a fundamental step in the strategic partnership that we have had with Oman Air for a decade.”
Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer of Oman Air, emphasized that “Combining these two rewards programs fully reflects the philosophy of the strategic partnership established with Turkish Airlines.”
Enhanced benefits for passengers
This merger primarily benefits customers of both airlines, who will benefit from more opportunities to earn miles thanks to a broader travel network.
As for managing and viewing their points balance, users do not need to take any special steps. Their online account will automatically be updated to reflect the merger of the programs.
