Turkish Airlines plans to place large order with Airbus

Turkish Airlines is currently in advanced talks with Airbus to acquire 355 aircraft. This potential order includes 75 A350-900s, 15 A350-1000s, 250 A321neo, 10 A350-900s and 5 A350-F freighters.

The A350 series of aircraft is recognized for its efficiency, range and advanced technology. With its advanced features, this model offers better fuel efficiency, reduced emissions and a more comfortable passenger experience. It is therefore not surprising that Turkish Airlines plans to expand its fleet with these aircraft.

The addition of the A350 series to Turkish Airlines’ fleet will enable the airline to expand its long-haul routes and improve its international connectivity. Thanks to the long-haul capabilities of the A350, the Turkish operator will be able to reach even more destinations around the world, connecting people from all corners of the planet.

Additionally, the A321neo will strengthen THY’s short and medium-haul operations. With its superior fuel efficiency and increased passenger comfort, this aircraft is an ideal choice for cost-effective operations and ensuring a pleasant journey for travelers on shorter routes.

The inclusion of A350-F freighters in the order highlights the importance Turkish Airlines places on cargo operations. As e-commerce and global trade continue to expand, having this aircraft model will enable the Turkish airline giant to efficiently transport goods and meet the growing demand for air cargo services.

The order, if finalized, will be delivered over the next few years. This massive acquisition will strengthen the airline’s fleet on the one hand, and consolidate its position as a leading player in the aviation sector on the other.
