Miles&Smiles, the Turkish Airlines loyalty program to reward its most loyal travelers

Passengers on Turkish Airlines flights subscribe to its Miles&Smiles loyalty program to take advantage of the benefits offered by the airline.

With the card, which offers privileges such as earning miles on every flight and making purchases with those miles, upgrading flight class and benefiting from the VIP area at airports, membership increases as members miles accumulate.

The Miles & Smiles loyalty program has four levels: Basic Classic, Classic Plus, Elite and Elite Plus. The last three levels are valid for two years after reaching a certain number of status miles and are extended for two additional years, depending on the total number of status miles accumulated in one or two years.
Depending on the level reached, the cards allow you to receive various air services free of charge, including increased baggage allowance, check-in at business class counters, visits to business lounges, issuance of award tickets and class of service upgrades.

To start earning miles, you must sign up on the Tukrish Airlines website.

When you complete the form, you will receive a unique number, and this is what you need to quote when purchasing tickets from the airline or its partners, including when purchasing any other item or service offered by the partners of the Turkish airline, in order to accumulate miles.

Statutes and loyalty cards

The Smiles points that you accumulate by being a member of this program allow you to access higher statuses, each of which offers exclusive privileges and advantages:

– Classic

Classic card represents the beginner level for any new member of the Miles&Smiles program. Passengers with this entry card earn miles when flying with Turkish Airlines and other Star Alliance member airlines.

With accumulated miles, members and their loved ones are offered the benefit of award tickets, companion tickets and cabin upgrades. Members with this status can earn 2,500 miles with the You&Friends program when they invite their friends to become members.

– Classic Plus

Classic Plus is the second level of the Miles&Smiles program. Classic members who wish to reach this level of membership must earn 25,000 status miles within the last 12 months. Miles&Smiles Classic Plus members can check in at the Business Class counter on domestic flights. It also has direct access to check-in lounges in Ankara Esenboğa, Antalya, Izmir Adnan Menderes, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Istanbul Airport.

Passengers who are entitled to use the lounge on all domestic flights can benefit from an additional baggage allowance of up to 10 kg on domestic and international flights on Turkish Airlines flights.

– Elite

Elite card is the third level of the Miles&Smiles program. Classic Plus members who wish to reach this level of membership must earn 40,000 status miles within the last 12 months.
Passengers at this membership level can enjoy lounge service with a family member or guests on domestic and international flights. On Turkish Airlines domestic and international flights, an additional baggage allowance of up to 20 kg is granted. In addition to this additional baggage allowance, an additional baggage allowance is also granted. Elite members are also eligible for Star Alliance Gold Card benefits.

– Elite Plus

Elite Plus is the fourth and highest level of the Turkish Airlines loyalty program. Elite members who wish to reach this level of membership must earn 80,000 status miles within the last 12 months.
Passengers of this membership level are entitled to 25 kg extra baggage on Turkish Airlines domestic and international flights, and +1 extra piece of baggage for journeys with piece baggage application.
The advantage of 2 gift upgrades per year without deduction of miles on Turkish Airlines flights is also very attractive.
